Patrick Agyemang opened his scoring account for the season on Saturday, helping Charlotte FC secure a 2-0 victory over FC Cincinnati in Major League Soccer (MLS).
The Ghanaian forward was relentless in attack, constantly pressuring the opposition’s defense. His persistence paid off when he outpaced his marker and fired a powerful shot into the net to seal Charlotte’s victory. His goal came from a perfectly timed through ball from Pep Biel, which he controlled well before finishing clinically.
Earlier in the game, Cincinnati’s Miles Robinson made a crucial defensive play in the 27th minute, stopping Agyemang from getting a shot on target. However, Charlotte FC eventually broke the deadlock in the 48th minute, capitalizing on a defensive error by Cincinnati.
This mistake allowed Liel Abada and Wilfried Zaha to surge forward, but it was Abada who took charge, carrying the ball all the way before slotting it past the goalkeeper to put Charlotte in the lead.
With Agyemang’s goal securing the win, Charlotte FC celebrated a strong performance against a tough Cincinnati side.
