West Ham United manager Julen Lopetegui has confirmed that Ghanaian star Mohammed Kudus is ready to return to action following the completion of his five-game suspension.
The Black Stars midfielder was handed the ban in November after being found guilty of misconduct following a red card during West Ham’s 4-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.
Speaking during his pre-match press conference ahead of West Ham’s Premier League clash against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium, Lopetegui expressed satisfaction with Kudus’ progress during his time away from competitive football.
“Let’s see what’s going to happen with [Mohammed Kudus]. We’re not going to talk about the line-up. It’s true that he’s now available after being out for a long time. He’s ready, working well, and happy to be back, which is good news for us because we have a lot of upcoming matches in a row. It’s a good thing we have as many options as possible for these games,” Lopetegui said.
West Ham will take on Leicester City on Tuesday, December 3, with kickoff scheduled for 8:15 PM at the King Power Stadium. Kudus, who has scored two goals in eight league appearances this season, is expected to boost the Hammers’ attacking options as they aim to climb the Premier League standings.
