Ajax midfielder Mohammed Kudus says he signed for the Dutch club because of their tendency to develop young talents.
Kudus joined the club at age 19 signing from Danish side Nordsjaelland where he made a name for himself after leaving Right to Dream.
Before moving to Ajax, the Ghanaian had been watched by Premier League and German Bundesliga clubs but he had no interest in any as he was looking at a steady development of his talent.
“I had other options from the Premier League and the Bundesliga,” he said on Joy Sports’ Star Connect.
“I chose Ajax because I wanted to take one step at a time and not a big step. Looking at the history of Ajax and how they wanted to play, and their history of developing young talents, I thought it was awesome for me to join them, which I did.”
Kudus is playing his third season with the club and has already won two league titles in his first two seasons.
