Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus has won the 2023/24 UEFA Europa League Goal of the Season award for his stunning strike against Freiburg.
The official UEFA account announced the award on social media on Wednesday, praising the goal as nothing short of extraordinary.
Kudus scored his first goal of the match in a 5-0 victory at the London Stadium on Thursday, March 14, 2024. He took the ball from his own half, dribbled past three players, and slotted it home with his weaker foot.
The goal was named the Europa League Goal of the Month for March and also earned Kudus the West Ham Goal of the Season award. Additionally, it received the highest rating from Whoscored.com.
