Under 20 Word Cup winner, Ransford Osei says his World Cup slot was given to ex-Hoffenheim striker Prince Tagoe.
Ransford Osei who was a key member of the Black Satellites when they triumphed in the World Cup has alleged his initial arranged slot to be part of the 2010 world cup was given to another player.
In an interview monitored on Dokk royal sports the ex- Asante Kotoko player said “When the 2010 World Cup calls up came, I was not part so I called Fred Acheampong and asked him why am I not part of the squad, he said randy said I was young and I have more years ahead of me so I should let prince Tagoe have a chance. That means it was my slot that was given to prince Tagoe all because somethings did not add up”
Ransford Osei indicated in 2021 he will not allow any of his kids to play for any of the Ghana National teams. “If my son becomes a footballer, I will never allow him to play for any Ghanaian national team. I’m being real. Something happened during my playing days that led to me not receiving any Black Stars call-up”.
Ransford Osei played for a couple of clubs including Fc Twente, Granada, Maccabi Haifa and Bloemfontein Celtics before retiring from active football.
