Ghanaian prodigy Ibrahim Osman is set to fulfill his long-held aspiration of playing in the Premier League after securing a move to Brighton & Hove Albion.
The 19-year-old midfielder, who currently plies his trade with FC Nordsjaelland in Denmark, will join the Seagulls on a long-term deal at the conclusion of the ongoing season.
Despite reported interest from West Ham United, Osman opted for Brighton, citing their commitment to promoting young talents and their similar style of play to his current club, FC Nordsjaelland.
Expressing his excitement about the move, Osman emphasized his desire to play in England’s top-flight league and underlined Brighton’s reputation as a conducive environment for his development.
“My dream was to play in the Premier League, and also to play for a team that has the same style of play as FC Nordsjaelland,” Osman stated in an interview with Danish outlet, Bold. “They [Brighton] promote younger players. I think it’s a better stepping stone for me, for my development.”
With an impressive record at FC Nordsjaelland, where he has amassed 40 appearances, scoring four goals, and providing five assists since his debut in February 2023, Osman’s transition to Brighton marks a significant milestone in his burgeoning career.
