Ibrahim Osman, the rising star from Ghana, has revealed that Brighton and Hove Albion’s track record of nurturing young talent influenced his decision to join the club.
The 19-year-old midfielder, currently with FC Nordsjaelland in Denmark, is set to make the move to Brighton on a long-term deal at the conclusion of the ongoing season.
Brighton’s reputation for identifying and fostering emerging players, exemplified by the progression of talents like Alexis Mac Allister, Moises Caicedo, Ben White, and Evan Ferguson, played a pivotal role in Osman’s decision-making process.
Additionally, the presence of Simon Adingra, another Right to Dream academy graduate, further underscored Brighton’s commitment to youth development.
In explaining his choice to sign for Brighton, Osman emphasized his aspiration to play in the Premier League and his desire to join a club with a similar style of play to FC Nordsjaelland.
“My dream was to play in the Premier League, and also to play for a team that promotes younger players,” Osman stated. “I think it’s a better stepping stone for me, for my development.”
With an impressive record at FC Nordsjaelland, where he has accumulated 40 appearances, scoring four goals, and providing five assists since his debut in February 2023, Osman’s move to Brighton signifies a significant opportunity for further growth and advancement in his burgeoning career.
