In his debut year with Asante Kotoko SC, Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has expressed his commitment to crafting a robust team.
Returning for a second tenure with the Porcupine Warriors, the former WAFA head coach steps in as a successor to Coach Seydou Zerbo.
During his prior stint, Dr. Ogum masterminded the team to its first Ghana Premier League title since the 2013/14 season. His coaching acumen resulted in a commendable record of 67 points from 34 matches, guiding the Porcupine Warriors to a triumphant finish over Medeama for the league championship.
In light of his appointment, Coach Ogum shared his aspirations, stating, “My first year is to put together a very formidable team that can compete both domestically and internationally. However, you can’t be at Kotoko and not think of bringing success,” Ogum said.
With a wealth of experience, the adept tactician is set to commence the preseason preparations with the GPL heavyweights on Tuesday, August 8th, at Beposo in the Ashanti Region.
After securing a fourth-place finish in the previous campaign, Kotoko aims to reclaim the GPL title in the upcoming season.
