Ghanaian midfielder Ibrahim Sulemana says his target for the season is to help Cagliari secure a safe position at the end of the 2023/24 Serie A season.
Sulemana joined the club last month signing a four-year deal after ending his stay with rivals Hellas Verona.
Following the conclusion of the pre-season, Sulemana will play in Serie A. Since he participated in nearly half of Verona’s games during the previous season, the young player is already familiar with the surroundings.
He is joining a new team, though, and will compete in the league with a group that has just returned to the top-flight league.
“The most important thing for me now is the objectives of the team,” he told Joy Sports in an interview.
“I give everything to contribute to the target of the team so that we can put the team to the place it belongs. Our target is to save ourselves [from relegation] and remain in the Serie A for the next season.”
Sulemana is set to be in action for the club when they travel to Turin to face Torino in their first league game of the season.
