Ghanaian club Nations FC have officially appointed experienced Croatian tactician Zdravko Logarusic as their new head coach ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The club confirmed the appointment on Monday, handing the vastly experienced manager the responsibility of leading the team as they prepare for domestic competitions and the defence of their MTN FA Cup title.
Logarusic returns to Ghanaian football with an impressive coaching résumé spanning more than two decades. Throughout his career, the Croatian has managed clubs and national teams across Africa, Europe and Asia, earning a reputation for his tactical expertise and wealth of experience.
The 59-year-old is no stranger to the Ghana Premier League, having previously coached King Faisal, Asante Kotoko and AshantiGold. During those stints, he became known for his disciplined approach, player development and ability to assemble competitive teams.
Beyond club football, Logarusic has also enjoyed success on the international stage, serving as head coach of the Sudan and Zimbabwe national teams, experiences that have further enhanced his reputation as one of the continent’s most seasoned coaches.
Nations FC believe the appointment underlines the club’s ambition to strengthen its technical setup and build on its recent achievements.
The Croatian’s immediate priority will be to evaluate the current squad, implement his football philosophy and prepare the team for a demanding campaign.
In addition to challenging for honours domestically, Logarusic has been tasked with leading the club in its CAF Confederation Cup campaign following Nations FC’s historic FA Cup triumph last season.
