The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has appointed experienced manager, Kassim Ocansey Mingle, as the Head Coach of the new national U16 team. This decision reflects Ghana’s strategic focus on taking its talented players through a structured system of continuous progressive development from one age category to the next.

Currently at the helm of Premier League side Nations FC, Kassim Ocansey Mingle is a very experienced Coach with a proven track record of talent development. With previous stints as Head coach of Bechem United, Mingle has established himself as a prominent figure in Ghanaian football, renowned for his ability to identify and nurture emerging talent.

Mingle’s appointment as the head coach of Ghana’s U16 team is a testament to his unwavering dedication to youth development and his adherence to the principles of the Ghana Football Philosophy.

The formation of this team aligns with the GFA’s vision of creating a robust youth pipeline that cultivates talent from a young age, laying the foundation for sustained success at the national level.

Assisting Mingle in his mission is the experienced Stephen Kyeremeh, whose invaluable insights and expertise will complement Mingle’s leadership. Joe Baah, a seasoned goalkeeping coach, will serve as the team’s dedicated goalkeepers’ coach, ensuring that every aspect of player development is meticulously attended to.

As the newly appointed Head Coach, Mingle is poised to guide Ghana’s brightest young talents through their formative years, instilling in them the values of discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. His approach emphasizes not only on-field success but also the holistic development of each player, equipping them with the skills and mindset required to excel both on and off the pitch.

The formation of the U16 national team underlines Ghana’s forward-thinking approach to football development, a key feature of Ghana’s Football Philosophy. This philosophy prioritizes the holistic development of players from a young age, emphasizing not only technical proficiency but also the cultivation of strong character traits and values.

As the journey begins for Ghana’s U16 national team, there is no doubt that Kassim Ocansey Mingle’s leadership will play a pivotal role in shaping the destiny of these young footballers.
