Kasim Ocansey Mingle, coach of Nations FC, has shared insights into the approach his team is adopting as they gear up to face Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League.
The highly anticipated match will see the Porcupine Warriors host Nations FC at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday for matchday 23 of the top-flight competition.
Despite being newcomers to the Ghana Premier League, Nations FC has showcased impressive performances, securing 11 wins, 4 draws, and 7 losses in their debut campaign. Their recent victory over Dreams FC catapulted them to the second spot on the league table with 37 points, just two points behind leaders Samartex.
In preparation for the showdown against Kotoko, Mingle emphasized that his team would maintain their usual approach without adding any extra pressure.
“We don’t want to put pressure on anybody. Our preparations for Kotoko’s game won’t be different. We will prepare just like other Ghana Premier League games. Both teams will be hoping for maximum points, but the better side with luck being on the side will carry the day,” he stated.
Acknowledging the unpredictable nature of football, Mingle highlighted the importance of maintaining focus and readiness for any outcome, emphasizing that the better-prepared team will emerge victorious on Sunday.
“Football is a game of uncertainty. Nowadays, things are not going on well for Kotoko but they can play one of their best games against us, so the better side will win on Sunday” he said
