Kasim Ocansey Mingle, the coach of Nation FC, expressed his disappointment after their match ended in a draw against Bofoakwa Tano in the Ghana Premier League. The game, held at the DR. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex, saw both teams scoring two goals each.
Bofoakwa Tano took the lead with a goal from Charles Mensah after 15 minutes into the game. They maintained their advantage until halftime.
However, Nation FC quickly equalized just a minute into the second half, with Barimah Baah finding the net.
Bofoakwa Tano regained the lead when Emmanuel Boateng scored in the 83rd minute. But Prince Acquah’s goal in the 86th minute ensured that Nation FC avoided defeat.
Coach Mingle expressed his disappointment, feeling that his team had numerous chances to score, including a penalty, but failed to convert them.
Despite the draw, Nation FC remains in the second position on the Ghana Premier League table after playing 26 matches this season. The club, based in Abrankese, has accumulated 44 points, trailing behind the league leaders, Samartex, by five points.
