Nations FC have been relegated from the Ghana Premier League after finishing the 2025/26 season in the bottom three despite securing victory on the final day of the campaign.
The Abrankese-based side defeated Karela United 1-0 away from home, but results from other matches failed to favour them, confirming their drop to the Division One League after only one season in the top flight.
Nations FC entered the final round of matches sitting in the relegation zone on 44 points and needed a combination of positive outcomes elsewhere to survive. However, their efforts were not enough to avoid relegation.
The club showed signs of promise throughout the season, especially with impressive performances at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex. However, poor away form and several costly defeats, including a narrow home loss to Vision FC, affected their survival hopes.
Coach Frimpong Manso and his players battled until the final day but were unable to escape relegation.
In a statement released after the confirmation of their demotion, the club described the situation as painful for everyone associated with Nations FC and apologised to supporters, sponsors, and partners for failing to maintain their Premier League status.
The club also assured fans that it would regroup and work hard toward securing a return to the Ghana Premier League next season.
