Ghana Premier League outfit Nsoatreman FC have completed the signing of promising defender Emmanuel Ankrah on a three-year deal from Bofoakwa Tano.
The 19-year-old center-back was a top transfer target for several Ghana Premier League clubs following his outstanding performance in the recently concluded season.
Ankrah joins Nsoatreman FC on a long-term contract, despite being a target for Kotoko and Ghana Premier League newcomers Young Apostles. The young defender was instrumental in Bofoakwa Tano’s FA Cup run, reaching the finals where they lost to Nsoatreman FC.
“We have agreed on a 3-year deal with a very young, talented and promising center back, Emmanuel Ankra. He’s a perfect fit for the project of the club, where we look to develop young players like him for top-level football,” the club announced on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The towering defender is expected to play a key role in Nsoatreman FC’s campaign next season, both domestically and in Africa.
The team will represent Ghana in the CAF Confederation Cup next season, where they will engage Elect Sport of Chad in the first round of the competition.
