Nsoatreman FC has been charged with misconduct by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) following their Premier League match against Medeama SC on January 8, 2025, at the Nana Konamansah Park.
The charge stems from several incidents during the game, including allegations of failing to ensure the safety of Medeama players and inappropriate behavior by the home supporters.
A statement from the GFA outlined the details of the allegations:
“Nsoatreman FC has been charged with a breach of Section 16 of the GFA Disciplinary Code, 2019, and Article 42 (6) of the Ghana Premier League Regulations, 2019, following their Premier League game against Medeama SC.”
The statement further added:
“It is alleged that Nsoatreman FC failed to ensure the safety of Medeama SC players, while their supporters behaved inappropriately. Additionally, it is alleged that the club prevented a GFA-accredited cameraman for Medeama SC from filming the match.”
The club has since responded to the charges and is awaiting a decision from the GFA Disciplinary Committee.
The game, which ended in a 1-1 draw, has now drawn significant attention due to these allegations, casting a spotlight on matchday conduct and security concerns within the league.
