Accra Lions has officially confirmed the acquisition of the accomplished forward, Yahaya Mohammed, during the ongoing transfer window.
The Accra-based club utilized its official social media platforms to unveil this signing on August 30th.
Following an impressive performance in the 2022 Division One League, Yahaya Mohammed garnered significant attention from various clubs. His exceptional skills and prolific goal-scoring record positioned him as a rising star in Ghanaian football, having netted an impressive 17 goals in just 22 games.
Scouts from Accra Lions were captivated by the promising striker, who had previously represented Tamale City FC. Yahaya’s remarkable talent did not go unnoticed by the club’s management, prompting swift action to secure his services with the aim of bolstering the team’s attacking capabilities.
In the previous season, Accra Lions navigated the challenges of relegation and clinched the 15th position with 45 points from 34 games.
The addition of Yahaya Mohammed to the team is anticipated to bring a surge in goal-scoring prowess as Accra Lions sets its sights on the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.
