Asante Kotoko Sporting Club has made an official announcement regarding the successful signing of the young and promising left-back, Nanabayin Amoah, from Venomous Vipers.
The transfer fee remains undisclosed as the club prepares for the upcoming 2023/24 season.
Nanabayin Amoah marks the second addition to the Porcupine Warriors’ squad. The emerging defender has committed to a three-year contract that extends until 2026 with Asante Kotoko, positioning himself for the forthcoming season.
Amoah’s arrival significantly strengthens the defensive lineup and introduces heightened competition, particularly for the left-back position, where John Tedeku and Nicholas Osei Bonsu also vie for prominence.
Having secured a fourth-place finish in the recently concluded Betpawa Premier League season, Asante Kotoko’s ambitions remain high, despite their exit at the quarter-finals stage of the MTN FA Cup against Aduana Stars.
Presently, Nanabayin Amoah has joined the team in Beposo as they intensify preparations for the upcoming season, set to kick off in September.
Asante Kotoko is slated to commence the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season with a match against league returnees, Hearts of Lions, scheduled to be held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
