Asante Kotoko, have announced the signing of new defender Yahaya Dawuni, who joined the club from Acess Ban Division One League club Susubiribi SC.
At the age of 19, Dawuni’s remarkable performance for Susubiribi in the previous season has earned him this opportunity, despite his team’s inability to secure promotion to the Ghana Premier League.
This strategic addition aims to fortify the Kotoko defense in preparation for the imminent league season.
Although Bibiani Gold Stars, Samartex, and Aduana Stars all expressed interest in Dawuni, the player has made the decision to align himself with the Reds. Notably, he was a member of the Black Meteors squad that fell short in qualifying for the Olympic Games.
