Asante Kotoko’s promising young forward Bernard Somuah has completed a season-long loan move to Spanish top-flight side Celta Vigo B.
The loan agreement includes an option for Celta Vigo to make the deal permanent at the end of the season.
Somuah, 18, joined Asante Kotoko after impressing during a trial before the start of last season. His debut season saw him make a significant impact, earning a call-up to the Ghana U-20 national team.
Before joining Asante Kotoko, Somuah showcased his goal-scoring prowess with Afigya Liberty in the lower-tier league, where he netted an impressive 22 goals.
In the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season, Somuah scored two goals in 16 appearances for the Porcupine Warriors.
He continued to shine during Asante Kotoko’s pre-season, scoring in several matches, including a recent goal against Bibiani Goldstars and delivering a standout performance against rivals Hearts of Oak.
