Bofoakwa Tano has unveiled their latest signing, former Hearts of Oak striker Benjamin Yorke, ahead of the new Ghana Premier League season.
The 27-year-old forward has joined the ranks of the Ghana Premier League returnees on a loan deal, just in time for the season opener this weekend. York’s addition is expected to bolster Bofoakwa’s attacking prowess as they prepare to face Great Olympics in their first match of the season in Accra.
The club announced the acquisition with enthusiasm, stating, “Benjamin York has officially joined us on a season-long loan from Hearts of Oak. His dynamism upfront will prove invaluable as we embark on the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season. Welcome, York!”
Before making the move to Bofoakwa, Yorke had a notable record, tallying five goals in 41 appearances in the topflight league. Prior to his time with Bofoakwa, he plied his trade at FC Samartex 1996.
