Swedish Allsvenskan side IF Elfsborg have announced the signing of Ghanaian young midfielder Michael Baidoo as a new player for the club for the 2022 season.
The 22-year-old joined the Yellow and Blacks outfit from Norwegian second tier league side Sandnes Ulf on a three-year deal.
Michael Baidoo started his football career in his native Ghana and the club Vision FC in the capital Accra.
Baidoo at a tender age joined Denmark Superligaen powerhouse FC Midtjylland but was later loaned to Danish lower-tier club FC Fredericia and later FK Jerv in the second highest league (OBOS league) in Norway.
At Jerv, the Ghanaian scored a total of 6 goals and provided 5 assists in 40 league matches – and after the season was named player of the year in Grimstadklubben.
In 2021, the midfielder joined Sandnes Ulf in the same league in Norway and continued to impres, pplaying a total of 29 matches, scoring 4 goals and also registering 5 assists to his name.
Chased by several top clubs in the Norwegian top-flight league but ended up joining Elfsborg in Sweden.
