SV Elversberg have officially confirmed the signing of Jan Gyamerah, a seasoned right-back of Ghanaian and German descent, on a two-year contract until 2027.
The 30-year-old defender joins from 1. FC Kaiserslautern, bringing with him a wealth of experience from the 2. Bundesliga, where he has made over 200 appearances.
Gyamerah is well known for his versatility, leadership, and defensive stability, having previously played for top German clubs including Hamburger SV (50 appearances), 1. FC Nürnberg (53), and VfL Bochum (74). A product of Arminia Bielefeld and VfL Bochum’s youth systems, he has also captained teams at the professional level.
Last season, he featured in 23 league matches for Kaiserslautern and was a consistent performer in defense.
SV Elversberg see Gyamerah as a key addition to strengthen their backline as they prepare for the upcoming campaign.
