The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has Officially awarded a 6-0 aggregate win to Moroccan side RS Berkane over Algerian side USM Alger.
After the first leg brouhaha in Algeria in the CAF Confederation Cup semi-finals, CAF awarded Berkane a 3-0 win. The decision didn’t sound well to USM Alger alongside the Algerian Football Federation and hence decided to take it to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
USM’s case was dismissed by CAS as they were told they had no right to confiscate their opponent’s uniform
On Thursday, CAF awarded a 3-0 win for RS Berkane in the second leg making it a 6-0 victory over the Algerians, USM Alger.
Moroccan side RS Berkane will square off against Egyptian giants Zamalek SC.
The first leģ is scheduled to take place at the Stade Municipal de Berkane on 12th May at 4 pm.
The return leg is in Cairo at the Cairo International Stadium on 19th May at 4 pm.
