Uruguay national team head coach Diego Alonso has named a 41-man squad for two friendlies against Iran and Canada later this month.
The South Americans will face Iran on the 23rd of September before facing Canada four days later as they intensify their preparations for the world cup in Qatar.
Uruguay are without skipper Diego Godin who is expected to undergo surgery in Spain this week and could also miss the impending world cup.
The squad however have notable names such as Luis Suarez, Federico Valverde, Edinson Cavani, Martin Caceres and Darwin Nunez.
Uruguay are in the same group with Ghana, Portugal and South Korea for the 2022 world cup.
