Ghana recorded an emphatic 3-0 win over Madagascar during the first match-day of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations at the Cape Coast sports stadium as Kudus Mohammed, Felix Afena -Gyan and Osman Bukari scored the goals.
It was the former Black Meteors attacker’s first ever goal for the Black Stars.
The Black Stars failed to get a goal after an incredible attacking minded display in the first half.
Back from recess, Ajax attacking midfielder Mohammed Kudus opened the lead for the Black Stars in the 54th minute.
Two minutes later after Kudus’ strike, Afena-Gyan scored to extend the Ghanaian team’s lead to 2-0 when he connected a good pass from Gideon Mensah after Jordan Ayew’s corner kick.
In the 87th minute substitute Osman Bukari scored a fine goal after a brilliant run to give Ghana a 3-0 win.
Ghana now leads the group standings with 3 points and 3 goals.
Meanwhile, Central African Republic defeated Angola 1:0 in the other group fixture.
