BOtto Addo, head coach of Ghana’s senior national team – Black Stars, has formally announced his 26-man squad for the Qatar 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Announcing the squad on Monday 14th November, 2022 in Accra, Addo rubbished claims suggesting that his squad was influenced by some top officials of the country’s football governing body.
He insists the player’s selected for the tournament were solely picked by the technical team.
“Thank you to the GFA President [Kurt Okraku] for allowing me to do my work,” he said.
“For me, that’s the most important thing. To be able to make decisions myself, of course alongside the technical team.” He said.
