Former Asante Kotoko management member and the current Otumfuo Mpaboahene- Nana Yaw Owusu has called on all Asante Kotoko supporters to massively through their weight behind Nana Yaw Amponsah- newly appoint CEO of the club.
Speaking in an interview with Hello FM, he adminished the fans of the club to always be supportive even when thing are not going on well. He says the suppoters should not only enjoy success at the club but should also have it in mind that that there could be bad moments which should be embraced.
”Otumfuo wants the team to be run professionally. The Board Of Directors and management will be performing Their Duties And I Will Urge The Supporters to also perform their duties as such,” he told Hello FM in Kumasi.
”We should support the team even if we lose games. We saw Norwich fans supporting the club although they were heading to relegation.
”They should always encourage the players whenever things don’t seem to go well. That’s how we support Kotoko or any football club.
They should not Interfere with management issues as well. It’s not the duty of supporters to talk about Management Issues. Every stakeholder must concentrate on Its duties.
He concluded ”The supporters must allow Nana Yaw Amponsah to work. He is capable that’s why he was appointed. I don’t think he’s in to see Kotoko fail. I know he’s in to make the club great again,”
Nana Yaw Amponsah, one of the contenders for the 2019 Ghana FA presidential race was last Friday unveiled as the new Chief Executive Officer of the cub and will soon make known his management.
