In a bid to further strengthen their team ahead of the upcoming season, Asante Kotoko is all set to embark on a pre-season tour to South Africa on August 15.
The initiative, organized by the club’s life patron, Otumfour Osei Tutu II, aims to provide the team with an opportunity to train and bond in a fresh environment, gearing up for the challenges of the 2024/25 season.
The pre-season tour will feature a series of friendly matches against local South African clubs, offering the players valuable experience and exposure ahead of the new season.
This follows Asante Kotoko’s recent triumph in the Democracy Cup, where they defeated their arch-rivals Accra Hearts of Oak to secure the maiden trophy.
To further bolster their squad, the Porcupine Warriors have made several new signings after parting ways with 18 players at the conclusion of the 2023/24 season.
The South African tour marks a significant step in their preparation for a successful campaign.
