Hearts of Oak head coach Nebojsa Kapor says the team remained confident and united despite enduring a three-match winless streak in the Ghana Premier League.
The Phobians went through a difficult period, suffering one defeat and recording two draws before returning to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over Port City FC in their last outing.
Kapor believes the team’s strong mentality and positive dressing room atmosphere played a key role in helping them overcome the challenging moment.
“We didn’t lose our confidence after three matches. Our focus was good, our confidence, energy and atmosphere in the dressing room were really very good,” he said.
“I’m sure we were very good and very tough when we are talking about the mentality side.”
The Serbian coach made the remarks ahead of Hearts of Oak’s Matchday 7 clash against Vision FC on Saturday, October 17, at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex in Tema Newtown.
Hearts currently occupy second place on the league table with 11 points, three points behind leaders Medeama, while Vision FC sit 15th with six points after five games without a win.
