Former Ghana international Tony Baffoe has hinted that he could reconsider his decision not to contest for the Ghana Football Association (GFA) presidency in the future.
Baffoe, who has previously ruled out ambitions for the top position in Ghana football, says he currently has no plans to run but cannot predict what may happen in the coming years.
Speaking in an interview with 3Sports, the former Black Stars defender admitted that although he has rejected the idea several times, circumstances could change.
“I’ve said no on multiple occasions. It doesn’t drive me, but I don’t know what is going to happen in six months, 12 months or 24 months. For now, I don’t see myself there, but you never know tomorrow,” he said.
Baffoe, who has gained experience both on and off the pitch, previously played a key administrative role in football after his retirement and has been involved in international football management structures.
His comments come amid ongoing discussions about the future direction of Ghana football and potential candidates who could lead the GFA in the coming years.
While he has not declared any intention to contest, Baffoe’s remarks suggest he has not completely closed the door on a possible future presidential bid.
