Dreams FC Ready for Emotional Clash Against Asante Kotoko – Coach Winfred Dormon
Assistant coach of Dreams FC, Winfred Dormon, has described their upcoming Ghana Premier League clash against Asante Kotoko as an emotional encounter, characterizing it as a “father and son affair.”
The Still Believe lads are scheduled to face the Porcupine Warriors on Sunday in a high-stakes Matchday 31 fixture at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi. With both clubs still battling for crucial points in the final stretch of the season, tensions and sentiments are running high.
Speaking ahead of the much-anticipated game, Dormon emphasized the emotional nature of the fixture due to his personal connection with the leadership of Asante Kotoko.
“The matchday fixture against Asante Kotoko is an emotional game, a father and son affair, and I am going to play against one of my directors,” he said. “But the team is ready on Sunday.”
Dreams FC, who are also in the final of the MTN FA Cup, have enjoyed a steady campaign this season and will be looking to finish strongly in the league. Sunday’s clash presents an opportunity to earn a statement result against one of Ghana’s most decorated clubs.
Asante Kotoko, meanwhile, remain in the hunt for a league and FA Cup double under interim coach Abdul Karim Zito, and will be aiming to keep their unbeaten run under him intact.
The game is scheduled to kick off at 15:00 GMT.
