Bechem United head coach, Kwaku Danso, has acknowledged his team’s struggles with goalscoring as they prepare for a challenging Week 3 encounter against Hearts of Oak in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League.
The Hunters are set to face the Phobians in Accra this Sunday, September 22, at the Legon Sports Stadium, aiming to secure their first victory of the season after drawing their opening two games.
In a pre-match interview, Coach Danso revealed that while his team’s overall performance has been solid, finishing in front of goal has been the primary issue. However, he is confident that recent training sessions have addressed the problem ahead of the crucial clash.
“The performance hasn’t been bad, but our main challenge has been with goalscoring,” Danso said. “This week, we’ve focused on that area, and I believe things will improve in our next match.”
He added, “Looking at the team in training, I think the players are stepping up, and we’re ready for the challenge.”
Bechem United will be eager to claim all three points in this fixture after falling short in their first two matches, and the coach is hopeful that his team’s hard work will pay off against Hearts of Oak. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 PM.
