During a special ceremony held in Accra, the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, expressed his unwavering support for Medeama SC as they embark on their journey to compete in the upcoming 2023/24 CAF Champions League on behalf of the nation.
The event held significant importance for the football club as they received recognition and endorsement from the highest legislative body in the country, solidifying their representation of Ghana on the continental stage.
Addressing the audience, Bagbin made a strong commitment, saying, “I want to, on your behalf, commit the house to go with them all the way to the continent to ensure that they win the African Cup for Ghana.
He further added, “This I will proceed to enforce to ensure that they get the necessary resources and motivation to surprise the continent by winning the cup.”
In a show of solidarity, Alban Bagbin also announced a generous contribution of GH₵100,000 to Medeama SC as they prepare for their participation in the upcoming CAF Champions League season.
With the backing of the Speaker of Parliament, Medeama SC will have the support and resources they need to compete at the highest level and make Ghana proud in the continental tournament.
