Ghanaian footballers in CAF Inter-club competition

In the CAF Champions League, Seyei Sebe Baffour played 63 minutes for Horoya in their 2-1 success against Raja Casablanca. The win has given Horoya a lifeline. He started the game and was substituted in the 63rd minute. He was replaced by Malian born Boubacar Diara.
There was a Ghanaian interest in the Tunisian Classico. Abraham Wayo, former Liberty Professionals forward was an unused substitute in Etoile Sahel’s 2-0 home defeat to their arch-rivals Esperance.
In the Confederation Cup, Hashmin Musah played 90 minutes for US Gendarmerie against Asec Mimosas in Abidjan. The centre back, who spent 4 seasons with Inter Allies was solid for the away team but unfortunately lost 2-1.
In Johannesburg, at the Orlando Stadium, Orlando Pirates won comfortably against Swathi champions Royal Leopards. It was very easy in the second half for Pirates as they scored all the 3 goals in the 47th, 56th and 70th minute respectively. Ghanaian duo Richard Ofori and Kwame Peprah both started the game for Orlando Pirates. Ofori played the entire 90 minutes while Kwame Peprah was replaced by Terrence Dzvukamanja in the 46th minute.
Simba now leads group D with 7 points after a crucial 1-0 win over RS Berkane in Dar es Salaam. Bernard Morrison replaced Tanzanian international Denis Kibu in the 63rd minute.
Former Bechem United player Eric Owusu was an unused substitute for Zanaco against Al Ahly Tripoli. Zanaco lost 3-2 at home against the Libyan giants. Eric Owusu’s Zanaco has lost all their 4 games in the group stages and stand no chance to qualify for the quarter-finals.
