The Black Stars of Ghana were held by minnows Madagascar to a 0-0 in an AFCON 2023 Group E qualifier.

The game at the Mahamasina Stadium saw the Black Stars failing to live up to expectation. Sportsworldghana.com takes a look at how the players fated.

ATI Zigi 6

Was not troubled much in-between the sticks except for some scaring attacks launched by Malagasy danger man Dorian Bertrand

Denis Odoi 6

Made some timely tackles and moved forward a bit with surging runs to join the attack

Patrick Kpozo 6

Great debut for the Moldova based defender though he could further improve

Joseph Aidoo 6

Was efficient at the back with his defensive partner Amartey though they were caught off guard couple of times

Daniel Amartey 6

Put up a normal display, the telepathy with Aidoo is yet to work

Samed Salis 7

Marshalled the midfield and protected the back four well.

Thomas Party

With the exception of one shot on target, all he did was to break and pass

Kamaldeen Sulemana 7

Was lively with his runs down the flanks, the Southampton player was unlucky not to have scored as he had one effort which missed target narrowly

Joseph Paintsil 7

Had a great outing with his ability to take the ball and run at opponents

Jordan Ayew 7

Missed a glorious chance in the early stages but in all his performance was good.

Andre Ayew 7

Was the main star of the team in the first half but got tired in the second half as the game progressed
