The Black Stars of Ghana pipped minnows Nicaragua by a lone goal to nothing at the Estadio Artes Carrasco in Lorca, Spain in a FIFA International friendly game on Tuesday night.
Sportsworldghana.com looks at how the players fared.
Richard Ofori -6
The agile shot stopper was virtually on a holiday as he was not tested much by the Nicaraguans. He was able to start most of Ghana’s attacks from the back
Daniel Amartey 6
He was efficient at the back as he played as a sweeper
Alidu Seidu 7
Very solid at the back, great tackles, full of energy and occasionally popped up upfront.
Gideon Mensah 6
Put up a good display on the left rear with some interceptions
Mohammed Salisu 6
Brought enough stability into the back four with great defending
Baba Iddrisu 5
Looked very rusty in defensive midfield. It is evident that the lack of playing time at Mallorca is affecting him
Daniel Kofi Kyereh 7.5
Was efficient in central midfield role and covered for Baba Iddrisu, was by far Ghana’s best player on the day
Mohammed Kudus 6
Showed individual brilliance but was not of a team player
Fatawu Issahaku 6.5
Netted the only goal of the game in the 35th minute
Osman Bukari 7
He was in his elements on the wings as he looked dangerous on the day and created many chances
Inaki Williams 6
Looked impressive upfront with his direct runs.
Subs: Ayew 5
Ransford Yeboah 5
Antoine Semenyo 5
