Player ratings: Partey, Wollacott and others excel as Ghana pick ticket to Qatar

Joseph Wollacott- 8.5

The Swindon Town goal keeper was very composed in between the sticks as he made some crucial saves which kept Ghana in the the game

Denis Odoi 7.5

Only his second game for the Black Stars but played as if he has been with the team for many years, very solid output on the right rear.

Gideon Mensah 8

Was a superb performance by the Bordeaux left-back. Those two games against Nigeria was his best in Black Stars jersey

Daniel Amartey 8.5

Another top notched output by the giant defender, he defended gallantly throughout the game and was the leader at the back.

Alexander Djiku 8.5

His partnership with Amartey glittered once again as they kept the menacing Nigerian attackers at bay

Baba Iddrisu 5

Was a bit jittery in front of the back four and was hauled off at half time

Thomas Partey 8.7

Came to the party when it matters most, marshaled Ghana the Black Stars midfield and scored a superb goal to send the team to Qatar

Issahaku Fatawu 6

Made a couple of good runs on the right-wing. Was substituted at half time.

Mohammed Kudus 6.5

Got some good balls but held on to it for too long, was substituted around the 70th minute.

Jordan Ayew 7.5

Was an embodiment of hard work as he fall back to help in the defensive department. Very strong on the ball. Was substituted after the break due to a knock

Felix Afena-Gyan 7

Played against two giants centre-backs but was superb with some good runs though his final decisions on two occasions let him down.

Andy Yiadom 6

Came into the game after the break, played as a right winger and did well with his surging runs

Elisha Owusu 6

Was brought to add more steel to the midfield and he did that perfectly

Daniel Kofi Kyereh 6

Came into the fray in the 46th minute and excelled in the offensive midfield role.

Osman Bukari 6

Was introduced in the 73rd minute and helped the ream with his pace on the flanks
