Otto Addo set a record in Ghana football on Tuesday night as the Black Stars booked their ticket to the 2022 world cup following a 1-1 away draw with Nigeria in Abuja.
Addo becomes the first Ghanaian player ever to play at the world cup and also qualify the team to the tournament.
The Ghana interim coach was part of Ghana’s squad which made it to the 2006 world cup in Germany where he made his debut in the 2-0 win over Czech Republic on match day 2.
