Michael Kyei Dwamena has realized a lifelong aspiration by signing a contract with one of Ghana’s Premier League giants, Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
The accomplished midfielder has made an official move to Kotoko from the West African Football Academy (WAFA), committing to a three-year contract that binds him to the club until 2026.
Expressing his elation regarding the transfer, Dwamena remarked, “Playing for Asante Kotoko has always been part of my dream growing up”
He also acknowledged the positive influence of Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum, with whom he has previously collaborated, and expressed his confidence in their potential to achieve significant success together.
“Moreover, the coach [Prosper Narteh Ogum] is someone I have worked with before, and his understanding of the game excites me a lot, and I am confident that together, we can achieve something great here.”
Dwamena embarked on his football journey at Wa Suntaa, a club based in Upper West, before making a transition to WAFA. During his three-season stint at the Sogakope Arena, he made 26 appearances for the Division One side in the previous season, contributing four valuable assists along the way.
