Martin Hyský has described Prince Kwabena Adu’s strike as the most decisive moment in Viktoria Plzeň’s 1-0 victory over Baník Ostrava in the Czech First League.
The Ghanaian forward netted the only goal of the match in the 35th minute, finishing off a swift attacking move after connecting with a well-timed pass. His effort ultimately proved enough to hand Plzeň all three points in a closely contested encounter.
The goal marks Adu’s seventh in the league this season, with the 22-year-old—formerly of Bechem United F.C.—also registering an assist in 25 appearances, underlining his growing influence in the squad.
Plzeň currently sit third on the table with 53 points after 30 matches, trailing leaders Slavia Praha, while Baník Ostrava remain down in 16th position.
Reflecting on the performance, Hyský praised his team’s response following their previous defeat, emphasizing the importance of taking the lead.
“It was a very competitive match. The important moment was that we took the lead, that we scored the first goal. I would like to thank the guys because we obviously wanted to respond positively to our last result.”
