Ghanaian forward Prince Kwabena Adu scored for FC Kryvbas in their 2-1 loss to FC Viktoria Plzeň during their Europa League qualification match on Thursday night.
Adu, who started the match for Kryvbas, opened the scoring just 20 minutes in with a well-placed goal, assisted by Cameroonian defender Ivan Dibango. However, Viktoria Plzeň quickly equalized and took control in the second half, with goals from Jiri Panos and Daniel Vasulin securing a 2-1 win for the Czech side.
Despite Adu’s notable performance, his goal was not enough to prevent Kryvbas from falling behind. He played 81 minutes before being substituted.
The second leg of the qualification tie will be a crucial challenge for Kryvbas as they seek to overturn the deficit and advance in the competition.
