Belgium-born defender of Ghanaian descent Edgard Opoku has signed his first pro contract with Belgium Pro League club KAA Gent.
Edgard is a player with an impressive physical presence. The 1m95 tall central defender has been with KAA Gent since 2022 and has developed strongly in recent years.
At the young Buffalos he is now taking the final steps to be able to evolve into Jong KAA Gent.
Opoku, 16, will start at second side Jong Gent before fighting for first team place.
He signed a contract until 2028.
