Ghanaian winger Henry Addo made a significant impact for Slovakian club MSK Zilina as they secured a spot in the next stage of the UEFA Conference League qualifiers.
Coming off the bench to replace Loic Essomba in the 60th minute, Addo contributed to Zilina’s victory over FCI Levadia in Estonia, completing a successful home and away result against their opponents.
The match began on a positive note for Zilina as Matus Rusnak opened the scoring just three minutes into the game, but Addo’s compatriot Ernest Agyiri leveled the score seven minutes later. However, Andrej Stojchevski restored Zilina’s lead just before halftime, leading to a 4-2 aggregate win.
Addo had also played a role in the first leg victory at home before traveling to Estonia with the team.
The talented youngster has impressed the technical team during pre-season, scoring a goal in four matches, which positions him for more first-team opportunities.
Next up, MSK Zilina will face Belgian side KAA Gent in their pursuit to secure a spot in the group stage of the Conference League.
