Promising Goalkeeper Peter Baah Snr. named Asekem FC Player of the Month for September

Asekem Football Club has named their talented young goalkeeper, Peter Baah Snr. as the Player of the Month for September.

This award is testament of Peter Baah Snr’s dedication, skill, and consistency on the field, as he continues to showcase his abilities with exceptional performances that have captivated fans and strengthened Asekem FC’s lineup.

Peter Baah Snr. has made a remarkable impact since joining the team, particularly standing out in recent games. His performance was highlighted by two consecutive clean sheets, one in a friendly against King Faisal and another in a hard-fought stalemate game against UCC Youngsters a DOL away game.

These performances not only bolstered Asekem FC’s defensive record but also played a crucial role in the team’s overall success during September.

Peter’s rise in Ghanaian football has been nothing short of impressive. Before joining Asekem FC, he had already made a name for himself during the Ashanti Regional Inter-Schools Games, where he was awarded Best Goalkeeper.

He further cemented his reputation at the 2023 Baby-Jet U-16 tournament in Cape Coast, keeping an impressive four clean sheets in five games. His performance there was a turning point that put him on the radar of scouts and fans across the country.

Speaking to Peter Baah Snr., about his recent award he disclosed how happy he was to be named player of the month in his first season with Asekem FC and his first DOL season. 

“I am delighted I got this award. It is a step in the right direction and also shows my effort for the team is recognized. Again I thank my coaches, my teammates, and the entire management of Asekem Football Club” – Peter Baah Snr. 

Peter Baah seeks to keep his 3 clean sheets in their next DOL game.
