Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has emphasized the necessity of securing maximum points in home matches to achieve their goal of winning the Ghana Premier League title.
Ogum pointed out that winning at home is a fundamental requirement for any team aspiring to become champions. He noted the example of last season’s league champions, FC Samartex, who clinched their title by winning 16 of their 17 home games, alongside three away victories.
“We need to pick up the maximum points at home if we want to win the league. It’s one of the key aspects of the Ghana Premier League: trying to secure maximum points at home,” Ogum stated following their recent match against Samartex.
“Winning back-to-back matches at home should boost the players’ confidence. The supporters are behind them, and we are confident they will come out in numbers to support us.”
Currently, the Porcupine Warriors sit second on the league table with 14 points, just one point behind GoldStars, and they remain unbeaten this season with one game less played.
