Nana Yaw Amponsah, the Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko, has accused former head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum of lying about him during a board meeting.
Narteh Ogum had signed a two-year contract with the Porcupine Warriors ahead of the 2021/22 football season and led the team to win the Premier League trophy in his first season.
In an interview, Nana Yaw Amponsah revealed that Narteh Ogum unexpectedly requested to participate in a board meeting and insisted on speaking.
During the meeting, Amponsah stated that Narteh Ogum made false statements about him, which came as a surprise.
“At the end of the season, I had to present a report to the board and there I was informed that Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum will be at the board meeting and I did not challenge that,” he told Kumasi-based Wontumi Radio.
“At the meeting, he told a palpable lie about me and I was surprised,” he added.
Following his departure after just one year, Prosper Narteh Ogum was replaced by Burkinabe coach Seydou Zerbo.
