Kingsley Schindler, a new addition to the Black Stars squad, has expressed his excitement at being called up to the national team for the upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Angola.
The FC Köln midfielder, who can also play in defense, was brought in to replace injured right-back Tariq Lamptey, after being invited by new Black Stars head coach Chris Hughton on Monday.
The Ghana Football Association’s Twitter page welcomed Schindler with a post that read: “Welcome home, Kingsley Schindler”.
In response, Schindler expressed his pride at being with the team, saying “Proud to be here!!”.
