German-born Ghanaian striker Ragnar Ache played a key role in FC Kaiserslautern‘s thrilling 4-3 triumph over Fortuna Düsseldorf in Bundesliga 2, ending a challenging head-to-head record that had seen Düsseldorf claim nine victories to Kaiserslautern’s two.

At the Merkur Spiel-Arena, Daniel Hanslik opened the scoring for Kaiserslautern in the 14th minute. Düsseldorf’s Ísak Bergmann Jóhannesson responded with a penalty in the 35th, but Hanslik struck again early in the second half with a powerful header.

Ache extended the lead in the 61st minute, firing a precise shot from outside the box to make it 3-2 after Daisuke Yokota’s earlier strike. Fortuna pressed hard, with Myron van Brederode and Felix Klaus finding the net, but Kaiserslautern held on.

Ache’s sixth goal in nine league appearances underscores his stellar form. Kaiserslautern now looks ahead to their DFB Pokal clash with VfB Stuttgart on October 29.
