Dr. Randy Abbey has expressed confidence in the newly formed Black Stars management committee, believing it is well-equipped to deliver excellent results for Ghana football.
Following the dissolution of the previous committee led by Mark Addo, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has introduced a new leadership team with Dr. Abbey as the chairman. The committee includes Stephen Appiah as vice-chairman, alongside Samuel Aboabire, Moses Armah Parker, and Richard Duah Nsenkyire.
Speaking to Original FM, Dr. Abbey highlighted the unique qualities each member brings to the table. “We are going to benefit a lot from Appiah’s experience, network, and the many ideas. Moses Armah Parker is a club owner and top businessman. He has loads of experience in football and previously served on the same committee. Nsenkyire is a top corporate personality. You look at how he’s been able to run Samartex and his background in the corporate world for about 30 years. Samuel Aboabire has been in the game for long.”
He praised the diverse backgrounds of the committee members, describing it as a well-balanced team. “Looking at the committee, you could see there is a blend of people with diverse backgrounds, expertise, and experiences. I think it’s quite a good blend.”
Dr. Abbey is optimistic about the committee’s potential to make a positive impact. “With the commitment I have seen, we will be able to do something great for Ghana football. Those who previously held the position did their best, and we are going to build upon it. It’s a composition of some quite experienced and qualified persons. I hope we will be able to do a great job for Ghana and the GFA.”
